Metabolomics is the identification and quantification of many different metabolites to gain knowledge about the whole cellular system, not only individual processes. A metabolomics approach can be of use to various processes, such as bacterial or yeast fermentation, cell culture processes or the cultivation of plant cells. Both intracellular (metabolome) and extracellular metabolites (secretome) can serve as important biomarkers for biotechnological processes. With a combination of different analytical methods, we can help you to locate bottlenecks or unused resources and to gain deeper knowledge of your particular system.
