Product information "Culture Media Analysis Bundle"

Spent media analysis is the analysis of the used media over the course of the production process and facilitates the selection of the right cell culture medium and feed combination, as well as the development of suitable feeding strategies. It is a useful tool that enables us to gain insight into the metabolic processes as well as to track and understand changes in medium composition.

 

Xell's comprehensive culture media analysis bundle combines the most common and informative analytical parameters regarding spent cell culture medium. It includes the analysis of amino acids, glucose and lactate, trace elements and water-soluble vitamins.

Our proprietary, quantitative UHPLC-DAD method covers the following amino acids:
Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Aspartate, Citrulline, Cystine/Cysteine, Glutamate, Glutamine, Glycine, Histidine, Hydroxyproline, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Ornithine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serine, Taurine, Threonine, Tryptophane, Tyrosine, Valine

Glucose and Lactate are measured via an enzymatic-amperometric measurement.

Trace elements are determined by ICP-MS, combining highest sensitivity with excellent reliability, including:
Chromium (Cr), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Selenium (Se), Molybdenum (Mo), Cadmium (Cd)

Our proprietary UHPLC-MS/MS method covers the following water-soluble vitamins, vitaminoids and precursors:
Vitamin B1 Thiamine, Vitamin B2 Riboflavin, Vitamin B3 Nicotinamide, Vitamin B5 (Calcium) Pantothenate, Vitamin B6 Pyridoxal, Pyridoxine, Vitamin B7 Biotin, Vitamin B9 Folic acid, Aminobenzoic acid, Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin, Vitaminoids Choline chloride  
 

Further parameters e.g., ammonium, dipeptidesorganic acids, polyamines or trace elements can be added to this bundle for a more profound insight into your processes.

Methods are established for “state-of-the-art” chemically defined cell culture media. Due to potential matrix effects verification of sample feasibility might be necessary prior to analysis. Please note that feed media matrix should be considered separately. If you plan to measure pure feed media, feel free to contact us for more information.
