The digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) is a method suitable for absolute quantification of DNA and RNA samples without the need of calibration. This allows precise and robust measurements of various sample types. Amongst other applications, ddPCR can be applied to quantify genomic titers in gene therapy applications (e.g., AAV production), to detect rare variations or GMOs and to develop references for real time PCR measurements.
